राष्ट्रीय स्तर के आयोजन से कपकोट में साहसिक पर्यटन को मिला नया प्रोत्साहन

बागेश्वर। सुदूर पर्वतीय क्षेत्र कपकोट अब एडवेंचर टूरिज्म के राष्ट्रीय मानचित्र पर मजबूती से उभर रहा है।
पांच फरवरी से प्रारंभ बागेश्वर जनपद में आयोजित पांच दिवसीय राष्ट्रीय एक्युरेसी पैराग्लाइडिंग प्रतियोगिता ने इस शांत ग्रामीण अंचल को देशभर के रोमांच प्रेमियों के आकर्षण का प्रमुख केंद्र बना दिया है।
जालेख की पहाड़ियों से उड़ान भरते रंग-बिरंगे पैराग्लाइडरों से सजा कपकोट का आसमान पूरे आयोजन के दौरान उत्सव का अहसास कराता रहा। देश के विभिन्न राज्यों से आए 92 पायलटों ने इस प्रतियोगिता में पंजीकरण कराया, जिनमें से 78 प्रतिभागियों ने अपने कौशल का प्रदर्शन किया। हजारों स्थानीय दर्शकों और पर्यटकों की उपस्थिति ने यह सिद्ध कर दिया कि कपकोट में साहसिक खेलों के प्रति जबरदस्त उत्साह है।
प्रतियोगिता का शुभारंभ जिलाधिकारी आकांक्षा कोंडे और क्षेत्रीय विधायक सुरेश गड़िया द्वारा किया गया। जिलाधिकारी ने इसे बागेश्वर के लिए ऐतिहासिक पहल बताते हुए कहा कि ऐसे आयोजनों से न केवल पर्यटन को बढ़ावा मिलता है, बल्कि स्थानीय अर्थव्यवस्था सशक्त होती है और युवाओं के लिए रोजगार के नए अवसर सृजित होते हैं।
पहले दिन से लेकर समापन तक प्रतियोगिता का रोमांच चरम पर रहा। विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार कपकोट का भौगोलिक परिवेश पैराग्लाइडिंग, ट्रैकिंग और अन्य साहसिक खेलों के लिए अत्यंत अनुकूल है। आयोजन के दौरान प्रतिभागियों के लिए तकनीकी प्रशिक्षण और सुरक्षा संबंधी सत्र भी आयोजित किए गए, जिससे प्रतियोगिता का स्तर और अधिक पेशेवर बना।
समापन समारोह में जिलाधिकारी आकांक्षा कोंडे ने स्वयं जालेख से उड़ान भरकर इस रोमांच का अनुभव लिया और कहा कि “कपकोट–बागेश्वर अब एडवेंचर टूरिज्म के नए गंतव्य के रूप में स्थापित हो चुका है। भविष्य में इसे अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर पहचान दिलाने के लिए निरंतर प्रयास किए जाएंगे।”
प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम स्थान पर रहे मनीष उप्रेती को एक लाख रुपए, द्वितीय स्थान पर रहे मनीष भंडारी को ₹50 हजार तथा तृतीय स्थान पर पंकज कुमार को ₹30 हजार की पुरस्कार राशि प्रदान की गई।
महिला पायलटों को भी विशेष प्रोत्साहन राशि देकर सम्मानित किया गया।
कभी शांत समझा जाने वाला कपकोट अब केवल एक ग्रामीण इलाका नहीं, बल्कि देश का उभरता हुआ साहसिक पर्यटन केंद्र बन चुका है।
प्राकृतिक सुंदरता, अनुकूल भौगोलिक परिस्थितियां और स्थानीय प्रशासन की सक्रिय पहल इसे भविष्य का प्रमुख एडवेंचर डेस्टिनेशन बनाने की दिशा में तेजी से आगे बढ़ा रही हैं।
कपकोट ने सचमुच नई उड़ान भर ली है—पर्यटन की, पहचान की और संभावनाओं की।

National-Level Event Gives Fresh Impetus to Adventure Tourism in Kapkot
In line with the vision of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami to promote adventure tourism in Uttarakhand, the remote mountainous region of Kapkot is now firmly emerging on the national map as a major adventure tourism destination.
The five-day National Accuracy Paragliding Championship started on February 5th, organized in Bageshwar district has transformed this peaceful rural area into a key attraction for adventure enthusiasts from across the country.
Throughout the event, the skies over Kapkot remained vibrant with colorful paragliders taking off from the hills of Jalekh, creating a festive and exhilarating atmosphere. A total of 92 pilots from various states registered for the competition, out of which 78 participants showcased their skills. The presence of thousands of local spectators and tourists clearly demonstrated the tremendous enthusiasm for adventure sports in Kapkot.
The competition was inaugurated by District Magistrate Akanksha Konde and local MLA Suresh Gadiya. Describing it as a historic initiative for Bageshwar, the District Magistrate stated that such events not only promote tourism but also strengthen the local economy and create new employment opportunities for the youth.
From the opening day to the grand finale, the competition remained full of excitement and high spirit. Experts believe that Kapkot’s geographical terrain is highly suitable for paragliding, trekking, and other adventure sports. Technical training and safety guidance sessions were also organized for the participants, further enhancing the professional standard of the event.
During the closing ceremony, District Magistrate Akanksha Konde herself experienced the thrill of paragliding by taking a flight from Jalekh. She remarked that “Kapkot–Bageshwar has now been established as a new destination for adventure tourism. Continuous efforts will be made in the future to bring it recognition at the international level.”
In the competition, Manish Upreti secured the first position and was awarded a cash prize of ₹1,00,000, while Manish Bhandari won the second prize of ₹50,000 and Pankaj Kumar received ₹30,000 for securing third place. Women pilots were also honored with special incentive awards.
The success of this event has delivered a clear message—Kapkot, once considered a quiet rural region, has now evolved into an emerging adventure tourism hub of the country. With its natural beauty, favorable geographical conditions, and proactive administrative initiatives, the region is rapidly moving toward becoming a major adventure destination of the future.
