नाभिकीय तकनीक से उत्तराखंड के कृषि सेक्टर में सुधार संभव : कोश्यारी

मुम्बई। महाराष्ट्र के राज्यपाल भगत सिंह कोश्यारी ने कहा कि आधुनिक तकनीक व रिसर्च के सहयोग से कृषि की पैदावार और किसानों की आय को बढ़ाया जा सकता है । उत्तराखंड नाभिकीय तकनीकों के कृषि में उपयोग से भविष्य में अपनी आर्थिक स्थिति को मजबूत कर सकता है । राज्यपाल ने कहा कि नाभिकीय ऊर्जा विभाग उत्तराखंड में एक नाभिकीय कृषि रिसर्च के लिए एक राष्ट्रीय स्तर का सेंटर की स्थापना करें ।

कोश्यारी अणुशक्तिनगर में ‘दुनागिरि सामाजिक संस्था’ एवं ‘उत्तराखंड सामाजिक संस्था’ द्वारा आयोजित तकनीकी वार्ता में सम्मिलित प्रतिभागियों को सम्बोधित कर रहे थे ।

डॉ. डी के असवाल, निदेशक, स्वास्थ्य, सुरक्षा एवं वातावरण विभाग, भाभा परमाणु अनुसन्धान केंद्र ने कार्यक्रम में तकनीकी प्रदर्शन द्वारा उत्तराखंड कृषि आधारित समस्याओं के समाधान पर विस्तार से बात की ।

उन्होंने बताया कि विषम परिस्थितियों में जब इजराइल कृषि पैदावार में अग्रणी बन सकता है तो उत्तराखंड भी भविष्य में देश का एक अग्रणी राज्य बन सकता है । इसी क्रम में डॉ. टी के घंटी, निदेशक, जीव शास्त्र विभाग, भाभा परमाणु अनुसन्धान केंद्र ने इसी क्षेत्र में विभाग द्वारा किये गए शोधों पर अपनी बात रखी।

वार्ता में शामिल हुए प्रो. दुर्गेश पंत, महानिदेशक, उत्तराखंड स्टेट काउंसिल फॉर साइंस एंड टेक्नोलॉजी ने नाभिकीय ऊर्जा के उत्तराखंड कृषि में संभावित दोहन की रूपरेखा प्रस्तुत की । उन्होंने बताया कि शासन और विज्ञान के परस्पर चलने से ही तेज विकास संभव है और वो इस सामंजस्य को बनाये रखने में पूर्ण सहयोग करेंगे ।

अभिनेता हेमंत पांडेय ने इस अवसर पर सामान्य लोगों के बीच जाकर ‘नाभिकीय ऊर्जा’ जैसे संवेदनशील मुद्दे पर सहज रूप से व्याख्या करने पर जोर दिया । बी सी पाठक, अध्यक्ष और प्रबंध निदेशक, न्यूक्लियर पावर कॉर्पोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया लिमिटेड ने श्री पांडेय का समर्थन करते हुते कला के सहयोग से लोगों को जागरूक करने में विभिन्न हिस्सों पर बात की ।

इस मौके पर अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्तियों के साथ आर के वत्सा, परमाणु ऊर्जा विभाग और बी सी तोमर भी सम्मिलित हुए । दोनों संस्थाओ की ओर से हरीश पंत, हिमाल भट्ट,श नीलम भारद्वाज और मनीष जोशी ने सभी प्रतिभागियों को सहयोग के लिए धन्यवाद कहा।

Nuclear technology can shape the future of agriculture in Uttarakhand: Honorable Governor Koshyari

Maharashtra Governor Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari said scientific technology has helped farmers in increasing their income in recent past. He anticipated that adaptation of nuclear research in farming pulses in Uttarakhand state can be a secure source of income. He desired that Department of atomic energy should establish a national level center for nuclear agriculture research in Uttarakhand and he promised to lead this initiative.
He was addressing the audience in Anushaktinagar during a concept discussion meeting organised by Dunagiri Samajik Sanstha and Uttarakhand Samajik Sanstha. Dr. Durgesh Pant, Director general, UCOST, Dehradun, attending the meeting envisioned the framework which state should follow towards this path. This meeting was also attended by Sh. Hemant Pandey, actor who pledged his support for any effort in the direction of making Uttarakhand a model nuclear agricultural state. Dr. D. K. Aswal, Director, Health, safety and environment group made a detailed presentation on the subject highlighting the issues in farming and the nuclear technology based solutions for Uttarakhand state. He stressed that if Isreal can farm on desert, the nuclear technology can surely facilitate high yield farming in staircases fields of Uttrakhand. Dr. T. K. Ghanty, Director, Bio science group highlighted the capabilities of department in successfully developing technologies for improving crop yield and food preservation. This meeting was also attended by Sh. B. C. Pathak, Chairman and managing director, Nuclear power corporation of India Limited, Dr. R. K. Vatsa, D.A.E. and Sh. K. Jayakumar, Controller Bhabha atomic research centre. Dr. H. J. Pant, President, Uttarakhand Samajik Sanstha and Dr. H. Bhatt, President, Dunagiri Samajik Sanstha thanked all participants for attending the meeting.
