पुराने कुओं के जीर्णोंधार के लिए चलेगा विशेष अभियान 

व्यापक स्तर पर चलाया जाएगा सफाई और रख रखाव का अभियान

देहरादून।  मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने दशकों पुराने कुओं का जीर्णोंधार करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। इसके लिए कुओं का व्यापक सत्यापन अभियान चलाया जाएगा, साथ ही रख रखाव के जरिए इन्हें फिर से पुनर्जीवित किया जाएगा। 

कुएं प्राचीन काल से गांवों से लेकर शहरों में तक मीठे और साफ पानी के स्रोत रहे हैं।

कुएं धार्मिंक और सांस्कृतिक रूप से भी महत्वपूर्ण होते हैं, कई जगह कुंए एतिहासिक घटनाओं के भी गवाह हैं। लेकिन समय के साथ जलापूर्ति की व्यवस्था बदलने से कुंओं का उपयोग घटता चला गया, वर्तमान में कई जगह कुएं अतिक्रमण या उपेक्षा के शिकार हो चुके हैं। लेकिन अब प्रदेश सरकार एक बार फिर कुओं का रख -रखाव करने जा रही है। इसके लिए मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने बरसात से पहले कुओं की व्यापक सफाई करते हुए, इन्हें पुनर्जीवित करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में भी विभिन्न सरकारी योजनाओं के जरिए कुओं की साफ सफाई करते हुए, पुनर्जीवित किया जाएगा। 

‘सारा ‘के तहत जलस्रोतों को बचाने का प्रयास

प्रदेश सरकार गेम चेंजर योजना के तहत स्प्रिंग एंड रिवर रिजुविनेशन अथॉरिटी (सारा) के जरिए, जल स्रोतों के संरक्षण का प्रयास कर रही है। जल संरक्षण अभियान 2024 के तहत कुल 6350 क्रिटिकल – सूखे जल स्रोतों को चिन्हित करते हुए, पेयजल और सिंचाई के लिए महत्वपूर्ण 929 स्रोतों का उपचार किया जा चुका है। साथ ही मैदानी क्षेत्रों में भूजल रिचार्ज के लिए 297 रिचार्ज शॉफ्ट निर्मित किए जा चुके हैं। गत वर्ष विभिन्न जल संचय और संग्रहण संरचनाओं के निर्माण से 3.21 मिलियन घन मीटर वर्षा जल रिचार्ज किया गया।

प्रधानमंत्री ने किया था आग्रह

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने भी नौ नवंबर को उत्तराखंड राज्य स्थापना दिवस पर दिए अपने भाषण में राज्यवासियों से अपने नौलों, धारों को संरक्षित करते हुए, पानी की स्वच्छता के अभियानों को गति देने का आग्रह व्यक्त किया है।

प्रधानमंत्री ने अपने भाषण में कहा कि उत्तराखंड में अपने नौलों धारों को पूजने की परंपरा रही है,प्रदेश सरकार इसी क्रम में कुओं को भी संरक्षित करने का अभियान शुरू करने जा रही है। 

कुएं हमारी सभ्यता के अहम अंग रहे हैं। शहरों से लेकर गांवों तक कई प्राचीन कुंए हैं। हमारा प्रयास है कि इन्हें फिर प्रयोग में लाया जाए, इससे जल संरक्षण के प्रयासों को भी बढ़ावा मिलेगा। साथ ही स्वच्छ जल के प्राकृतिक स्रोत भी संरक्षित हो सकेंगे।

Special Campaign to be Launched for Renovation of Old Wells – Chief Minister

After Verification, a Large-Scale Cleaning and Maintenance Drive Will Be Conducted

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the renovation of decades-old wells. A comprehensive verification campaign will be undertaken, followed by cleaning and maintenance to revive these wells.

Wells have traditionally been important sources of clean and sweet water in both villages and cities. They also hold religious and cultural significance, with some wells witnessing historical events. However, with changes in water supply systems over time, the usage of wells has decreased. Currently, many wells suffer from neglect or encroachment. But now, the state government is set to undertake their maintenance once again. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed that before the monsoon, a large-scale cleaning and revival campaign of wells be launched. In rural areas too, various government schemes will be utilized to clean and restore the wells.

Efforts to Conserve Water Sources Under SARA

Under the game-changer initiative of the state government, the Spring and River Rejuvenation Authority (SARA) is working towards the conservation of water sources. As part of the Water Conservation Campaign 2024, a total of 6,350 critical and dry water sources have been identified, and 929 of these crucial for drinking water and irrigation have already been treated. Additionally, 297 recharge shafts have been constructed in plains for groundwater recharge. Last year, through the construction of various water collection and storage structures, 3.21 million cubic meters of rainwater was recharged.

Prime Minister’s Appeal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his speech on November 9 during the Uttarakhand State Foundation Day, urged residents to preserve their naulas and dharas (traditional water sources) and to accelerate water cleanliness initiatives. He stated that Uttarakhand has a tradition of worshipping these natural water sources, and in continuation of this, the state government is now starting a campaign to conserve wells.

“Wells have been an integral part of our civilization. There are many ancient wells across cities and villages. Our aim is to bring them back into use, which will also boost water conservation efforts and preserve natural sources of clean water.”
